I don’t know what I would have done without Thumbs Up Moving Labor this Spring! I had carpet replaced in the upstairs of my home which requires boxing up everything, of course. Since I have reached retirement age, my body won’t allow me to carry boxes up and down stairs, let alone any furniture!
Ravin made the scheduling of the moving before and after the carpet project very easy with her personable and professional efficiency.
It just so happens that I have known Jason, the founder of Thumbs Up Moving Company, for well over a decade because he spent many hours over the years in my restaurant in downtown Snohomish. We shared a lot of conversations about life, special people in our lives, ambitions, challenges of starting and running your own business, etc. etc. When his crew of two, Cody and Spencer, came to move my boxes and furniture from the upstairs to the downstairs and garage, I told them that Jason had basically “given birth” to his business in my restaurant. I was impressed by the ease in which these two got things done and had fun doing it. They were both very congenial with me and with each other, and they were super-efficient and careful which I really appreciated.
Even though this was my first personal experience with Thumbs Up Moving Company, my partner’s sister used their “Moving Day Labor” service when she and her husband moved from Camano to Fall City.
We also referred our friend, Lee Oskar, who used them for “Office Relocation”. Lee is a very particular guy, and he was very impressed with the service.
I really align with Jason’s approach to running his business in that we both value our employees, who are mostly students, and we both put their education first by allowing flexible schedules, and by providing a supportive work environment that encourages self-growth and fosters good relationships with fellow team members, the customers, and with their employers. Jason and I also share an understanding of the value of relationships within the community. Jason is one of those people who, even though he doesn’t live in Snohomish at this time, he keeps connected to many in the Snohomish area and stops by my restaurant Grilla Bites whenever he is in town.
He is someone that will always bring a smile to your face once you’ve met him, and I always look forward to his visits home!
