Tip 1: Decide if you need help with your move or not

There are a lot of options when it comes to choosing who is going to help you with your move. There are a few questions that you need to ask yourself. Do I want to move on my own? Do I want to hire a company to move me? If you decide to move on your own, you might have a truck or trailer you can use and friends and family to use as well. If not, you can rent a U-haul or Penske, or Budget truck if you need transportation and you can have friends and family help with your move if you have that option. Or, if you need movers you can hire a company like ours to provide the movers locally here in Phoenix Arizona. If you are moving long-distance there are companies that you can hire for the transportation like U-pack where we can load your household furniture and items here and hire another similar moving labor company wherever you are moving out of the area. We can guide you with all your choices as well if you need help with deciding what to do.  If you don’t want to deal with renting your own truck or trailer or container and you don’t have your own transportation you can hire a full-service moving company to do everything. If you do that, the most important thing is finding the most reputable company you can find with many 5 star reviews online. There are a lot of bad moving companies out there and very few great ones. Do your research and find the best company that seems to be very professional and as you begin reaching out to them be sure they are communicative and friendly and seem very on point as well.

Tip 2: Start a checklist

Moving is stressful but it doesn’t need to be a nightmare. When you find out you will be moving, it’s important to start a checklist of things that you need to get done before the move and arrange them carefully thinking about all the moving parts that you will be experiencing over the coming days, weeks, and possibly month. Keeping your checklist close by and updating it and checking off the items that you need to complete before move day is not only practical but it also gives peace of mind. It’s important to have a sense of control in the midst of the chaos that you will be experiencing as move day draws closer. There are a lot of free apps out there that you can use like Trello or you can simply use a notepad or the notes app on your phone and make a nice checklist for yourself. When deciding where to keep your checklist it’s important to have the list wherever it’s most likely that you’ll be inclined to view it daily until all the items are completed. That’s it.
