On December 17th 2022, the Thumbs Up Moving Labor crew teamed up with Keep Tempe Beautiful to clean up Hayden Butte in Tempe Arizona. Thanks to the great contribution by Thumbs Up Moving Labor, the Keep Tempe Beautiful result was remarkably successful. The Thumbs Up crew members volunteered a few hours of their time by assisting with the clean up initiative. The valiant effort by Thumbs Up equated to the end result of 407 pounds of trash, 50 pounds of recycling, and 2.5 pounds of cigarette butts. The President and Founder of Thumbs Up Moving Labor, Jason Elkins, showed no hesitation with assisting his crew members in order to obtain the astounding results by working alongside the Thumbs Up Moving Labor crew. The Thumbs Up movers who worked alongside Jason were Keon, Nick, and Ethan. The four man Thumbs Up crew worked hard that Saturday morning by picking up trash, recycling, and most of all, having a lot of fun knowing the great impact that was being established. Outreach events like these are important for a lot of reasons, with one of the vital factors benefiting the community. Additionally, community outreach events such as Keep Tempe Beautiful allows the opportunity for a strong company culture to be resonated within Thumbs Up Moving Labor.

Hayden Butte has a long history of being the home to Native Americans and boasts over 500 petroglyphs, which are rock carvings. These petroglyphs were made by the Hohokam between 740 A.D and 1,450 A.D. The Hohokam were a prehistoric people who inhabited the area. There was a large settlement at the base of Hayden Butte with many remnants of the settlement that have been discovered over the years.
